Itinerary

Day 1/2Arrival - Yerevan city tour - Echmiadzin - Zvartnots Temple - Yerevan

Arrival at the Zvartnots airport. Greet and transfer to the hotel in Yerevan. City tour after
– Breakfast at the hotel.
– Tsitsernakaberd hill. Walk at Armenian Genocide Memorial park and visit to the museum of the victims of Genocide.
– Etchmiadzin – the Mother See of the Armenian Apostolic Church, located in the city of Vagharshapat, Armenia. Etchmiadzin is the first cathedral built in Armenia, and is considered the oldest cathedral in the world.
– Zvartnots Cathedral – the gem of the 7th century architecture, listed on UNESCO World Heritage. Return to Yerevan.
– Return to Yerevan

Day 3Yerevan - Khor Virap - Noravank-Yerevan Tour to Khor Virap - Noravank monastery - Yerevan

– Breakfast at the hotel
– Khor Virap is an Armenian Apostolic Church monastery located in the Ararat valley in Armenia, bordering with Turkey. This wonderful masterwork of Armenian sacred architecture situated on top of a hill with the best view to the biblical Mt. Ararat.
– Noravank is a 13th-century Armenian monastery, located in a narrow gorge made by Amaghu river, near the Yeghegnadzor city, Armenia. The spare lines of the church contrast beautifully with the sharp red rock cliffs, and the dramatic scenery is one of the best reasons to visit Noravank. Return to Yerevan.

Day 4Yerevan - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan

– Breakfast at the hotel
– Geghard is another incredible ancient Armenian monastery on the list of UNESCO World Heritage, partly carved out of a mountain. The road to the monastery has a path with vendors of souvenirs and snacks where you can try try the sweet “sujukh”, sweet lavash and gata.
– Garni is a first century Hellenic temple. It is the only pagan temple in Armenia that survived the Christianization of the country in the early 4th century.
– Return to Yerevan.

Day 5Yerevan - Lake Sevan - Noratus - Yerevan

– Sevan is the largest freshwater alpine mountain lake in Armenia and Caucasus, located in 70 miles north of Yerevan, in the Gegharkunik Province.
– Noratus in an ancient cemetery with early medieval khachkars (cross-stones) dating back to 6th century.
– Return to Yerevan.

Day 6Yerevan - Vernissage or Gum Market

– Breakfast at the hotel
– Vernissage open air market is located 2 minutes away from the Republic Square where you can find best examples of Armenian folk art, unique jewelry, exclusive handmade masterpieces craftsmanship, paintings, souvenirs and more.
