Gourmet Tour In Armenia

Day 1: Arrival . Check in. Visit the City Bazaar to get acquainted with all the ingredients used in our cuisine. City Tour around Yerevan - the capital of the Republic of Armenia.

Having a history of almost 2800 years, Yerevan is a modern city with high rise buildings, nice cafes and parks. It’s a combination of reach history and a modern lifestyle. Yerevan City was originally designated so that it overlooked the biblical MountArarat, and indeed the Holy Mount can be seen from every corner of the capital. You will see all major sights of the capital including Opera house, Republic Square, Kievyan Bridge, Baghramyan Avenue, the Presidential Palace, Academy of Sciences, National Parliament as well as "Cat statue" by famous sculptor Fernando Botero at the Cascade area; enjoy the panoramic view of Yerevan etc. You will enjoy your welcome dinner in one of the well known Armenian restaurant with folklore music and dance. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 2: We'll visit Garni Fortress famous for its 1st century Hellenistic Temple - Roman Baths and palace and church ruins.

Later we'll tour the miraculous Geghard Monastery(UNESCO) where the Holy Sear was kept piercing Christ body. In Garni village we'll visit a local house in order to see the traditional Armenian bread "lavash" making. We'll have a master class on how to prepare a real Armenian bread "lavash". After master class you can enjoy lunch with the traditional Armenian bread lash and Kebab. Try the best Armenian beef kebab.Back to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 3: After breakfast we will visit Mt. Ararat, Khor Virap Monastery - Areni village winery tour & wine tasting with Armenian cheese.

You will have wine tasting and some free time to enjoy the rural atmosphere. After wine tasting visiting Noravank. Noravank Monastery is situated deep in the Noravank canyon, and from a distance appears to be perched high on the flat surface of a rock, nestled into a majestic mountain. Lunch in a unique restaurant where you can taste the most delicious dishes of Southern Armenia. Back to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 4: After breakfast driving to Zvartnots Tempe. Zvartnots temple - the pearl of the 7th c. architecture (inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage list).

Continue the tour to Echmiadzin .The Church was built between the years 301 - 303 AD under the Armenian king Tiridates III and the first Armenian Catholicos, St. Gregory the Illuminator. Lunch in Echmiadzin. You can enjoy Armenian Kufta. Kufta, perfectly describe the cuisine of Armenia. Back to Yerevan . Visiting famous Ararat Brandy Factory. Ararat Brandy Factory is the leading enterprise of Armenia for the production of alcoholic beverages. Its main brand name is Ararat. Walk around the ageing cellar and see how the brandy spirits are preserved, know who have nominal barrels and enjoy the delicate aroma of the cellar. Pass a pleasant and memorable time in the tasting hall enjoying the delicious "THREE STARS", "AKHTAMAR". Overnight in Yerevan.

Day 5: Travel to Armenians largest Lake Sevan. The view of the lake from the two monasteries is breath taking and the fish meal along the lake is a must.

Enjoy Sig and Trout barbeque. Dilijan is our next stop. Near the town of Dilijan is located 13th century Haghartsin monastery. Other amazing monastery complex Goshavank was founded in 1181. Farewell dinner in typical Armenian restaurant. Overnight in Yerevan.
 
Day 6: After breakfast check out and transfer.
